All Dynos are NOT the same. Before we purchased our Dynamic Test Systems (DTS) 2500hp Power Mark unit we researched the entire dynamometer market. We chose a machine that is state-of-the-art with computerized print outs at all performance levels of all performance parameters listed for each RPM.

 Comparing the DTS to some other dynos is like comparing a "drill press" to a "hand drill." The Dyno allows us to do initial startup and break-in as well as a leak check. During the process, valve lash, ignition timing and mixture are optimized. This ensures that you receive an engine which is debugged, super tuned, fully documented and ready to rock.

The DTS water brake is the most modern and advanced available. It uses inlet and outlet valves which result in smooth, consistent (within 1hp) repeatable "pulls", and allows rapid response to power/load changes (such as a rapid 250hp change when nitrous is sprayed).

This is just one reason NASCAR engine builders use this unit. This is also one of the most expensive performance Dynos available. The Power Mark is also equipped with 02 sensors which help fine tune engine settings

(which is similar to using a "micrometer" for mixture settings compared to the "yard stick" of EGT.)
