When you are pushing >2,000 horse at the flywheel, you want to make sure that things don't start coming apart! A Dart's LS Next2 block let's you lay on the boost with confidence. These are the strongest LS blocks ever produced by Dart for reasons of both design and enhanced metallurgy.
The LS Next2 blocks come from Dart with larger main caps (see photos) secured with 1/2" studs. The larger diameter studs provide 40% more clamping force compared to the standard 7/16" studs. We have both LS standard 2.55" and 2.750" main diameter blocks in stock. The larger optional main diameter reduces flexing of the crank. This in turn reduces stress on the bottom end.
This blocks may be purchased as-produced by Dart or fully machined to your specifications on our state-of-the art CNCs. For our own builds, we machine all these blocks for 1/2" head studs. We can also optionally machine for oversize lifters, fire rings, piston oilers and Jesel belt drives.
