Description:
This is a custom flex-fuel engine intended to run on ethanol and gasoline. Since it is a custom build, you have a lot of available options to best suit your needs. For example, the pricing indicated here includes a tricked-out FuelTech 600 engine management system (see appended video below). Prefer Holley or Emtron? Want a different intake manifold? Aluminum rods? No problem. Actual pricing will of course depend upon options selected, so the final appearance may vary from that seen in the photos.

As mentioned above, this engine comes with a tricked-out FuelTech 600 engine management system. The high processor speed and capabilities of this unit allow unprecedented control over all aspects of the engine's functions. This is particularly useful in allowing you to precisely and continuously control boost and torque while layering on features to enhance engine performance and protection. The wiring harness is also built to minimize electrical interference and withstand the rigors of competition.
We originally built the engine in the video below in a street-capable configuration. It was modified to track-only in its second season (methanol only, Emtron, copper head gaskets, O-rings, etc.). Our dyno is rated to 2,500 hp so we weren't able to run this engine up to the boost level it was designed to handle. The customer was able to get his Camaro on a hub dyno and aired it out. Running 44 psi boost, he hit 2,737hp at the wheels as reported by Muscle Cars & Truck.

As can be seen in the table below, even the numbers on our initial dyno break-in at low boost were pretty amazing.

The performance story speaks from the data and videos. This engine is also built to last That requires a combination of top-notch parts, engine design, machining, assembly and final dyno tuning. Rather than write a book or brag about how good we are, here are some of the parts/design highlights:

- Dailey's Engineering 6-stage dry sump oiling system with billet pan
- Callies Magnum crank with 4.00 inch stroke and I-beam Ultra Enforcer rods
- BRE custom Diamond full-round skirted pistons
- Jesel belt drive and shaft rocker system
- BRE custom Comp Cams mechanical roller cam
- BRE custom All Pro CNC-ported heads with titanium intake and Inconel exhaust valves
- Borowski custom billet intake manifold with dual fuel rails and blow-out panel
- BRE custom Waterman fuel pump
- Twin Bullseye 83mm NLX turbos with Turbosmart waste gates and blow-off valves
- FuelTech 600 engine management system with all the bells and whistles (call for details)
As mentioned above, O-rings and copper head gaskets are required to handle this level of boost. These are a maintenance item but do get the job done. Here is a video showing how we do the block machining for O-rings on our 4-axis CNC.
