- Boost Ready - 370ci LS Long Block
Description:
Looking for some serious power at a great price? Look no further! This 370ci boost-ready LS long block is designed to easily handle more than 1,000 hp. We are now offering this long block with high flowing heads in both cathedral port and rectangular port designs. The cathedral ports are from Brodix castings with 13.5 degree valve angles. The LS3 ports we use are AFR, 6-bolt, 12-degree valve angle castings. Our process for machining these heads includes CNC porting and combustion chamber machining on our 5-axis with CNC valve job and bowl bowl blend on our Newen CNC seat & guide machine (see Engine Machining playlist on our YouTube channel @borowskirace.com ).
Check out this video of this long block putting down 1,148hp. It's running on our dyno as a complete engine with the cathedral port heads and a 76mm single turbo on E98.

Note: The AFR head long block in the photo set is mounted on a Dart block, not the 6.0L GM block advertised here.
The boost-ready short block is a seasoned GM 6.0L block that we have re-machined on our CNCs to far tighter than the original GM tolerances. In this boost-ready build, we use a forged Callies Compstar center-counterweighted crank for additional strength, stiffness and reduced harmonics. The crank is paired with Compstar rods. Diamond Race Series pistons complete the short block with a compression ratio that makes it pump gas friendly under boost. Manley rod and pistons may also be used depending upon parts availability and customer preference.
The COMP hydraulic roller cam is designed for boost, and brings maintenance-free operation. Valve train stability is enhanced with COMP BSR shaft rockers.

1 These engines are not pollution compliant and are intended for transportation use only in pre-pollution controlled vehicles.
2 All BRE engines are individually dyno tested and tuned. Atmospheric and other variations can cause results to vary +/- 2% from advertised ratings. Customers will be supplied with video of their engine's dyno along with the dyno and build sheets.
