Off-roading comes in a lot a flavors, but there are common themes of quality, durability and power for the engines.
- they need to be able to operate in difficult environments,
- withstand a serious beating time after time,
- generate lots of torque at low rpm to get those big tires kicking up dirt, mud, sand, whatever.
The rearward facing air inlet of this supercharger is intended to allow the engine to bring in air from a more protected area. You can only rely so much on your air cleaner and off-roading can certainly kick up a storm of airborne debris.
We build these to last by using parts we know can handle a lot of power that we source from top-quality supplers like these:
- Dart Machinery: SHP Pro LS Next iron block, an upgrade over the LS Next SHP
- Callies Performance: Magnum 8-counterweighted crankshaft and Ultra Enforcer rods both cast in the USA using high-grade Timken steel alloy
- Diamond Pistons: custom PTFE-coated pistons with premium rings
- COMP Cams: custom ground hydraulic roller camshaft and BSR shaft rockers
- All Pro Cylinder Heads: Borowski CNC ported LS7 heads assembled with Manley valves and springs

This 427 cubic inch engine and 4.5L Whipple supercharger combination generates more than 1,000 lb-ft of torque across the rpm band from 3,600 - 6,600 rpm, and does it on pump gas. No hunting for race fuel in the the middle of nowhere. Its hydraulic roller design means you won't need to be adjusting valve lash.
This package includes the serpentine system as shown in the photos. Also included is a Holley Terminator X engine management system which comes preloaded with the tune from your dyno session. This can be upgraded to the more robust FuelTech 550 ECU and wiring harness. These units are waterproof (IP67) and offer the benefit of an integrated display screen which is an expensive add-on for the Holley EFI systems.
