THIS IS AN UPGRADED VERSION OF ITS 1,100 HP, PUMP-GAS SISTER. PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE HEADERS AND ACCESSORY DRIVE SHOWN IN PHOTOS

This engine is built to run pump gas and E85 interchangeably. The 1,400 hp rating is for E85. Pump gas delivers about 1,200 horsepower, but that will vary depending upon fuel octane, ambient conditions and choice of intercoolers.

This is a lot of power for the money! We kept costs down using a seasoned GM block that we digitally remastered on our CNC machines (see video below) and upgraded with P1 Manufacturing main studs. A major upgrade for this horsepower level is the blocks have also been machined to accept 1/2" P1 head studs which increase clamping force by 40%.

The crank we use is a stock-stroke, forged Callies Compstar with 8 counterweights. The additional counterweights increase overall stiffness by about 25% and reduce harmonics so that the crank does not want to flex as much. Bottom line is that the engine lives longer because crank bending and twisting under heavy load is minimized. The forged rods are Callies Compstar Extremes. These are topped with Diamond R series dish pistons. A GM F-Body baffled oil pan is standard. Holley retrofit pans and Dailey dry sump oiling systems are available.

The top-end features AFR 12-degree LS3 heads that we machine on our 5-axis CNC from porter castings. The valve job and bowl blending is done on our Newen CNC. The heads are assembled with stainless steel intake and Inconel exhaust valves, dual springs and titanium retainers.  COMP BSR shaft rockers are used for maximum valve train stability. A custom COMP hydraulic roller cam brings performance and durability without the maintenance hassle of valve lash adjustment associated with mechanical cams.

E85 requires about 30% more fuel volume than gasoline to produce the same horsepower. This build therefore requires much larger injectors than its 1,100hp pump gas sister. The Fuel Injector Clinic injectors we use are both flow and offset matched for precise and consistent fuel delivery. They also incorporate a laser-cut spray plate for optimum spray pattern. Together, these features allow both fuels to perform well from idle to max RPM (see video below)


We can build this engine with a range of intake manifolds and intercoolers. The default choice is a Holley Lo-Ram with a 417 Motorsports 2,000 hp rated liquid-to-air intercooler. The intercooler comes dressed with a billet water intake manifold as can be seen in the photoset. We like this system because it is compact, effective and easy to install.

A FAST LSXHR intake/intercooler combo is highly recommended as an upgrde if vertical clearance is available and pump gas performance is important. This set up is the most effective intercooler combo we have run for heat removal.

That brings us to the patented, top-shelf, Bulleye 76mm NLX turbo.  Its all-ball-bearing design eliminates the center nut and speeds up spooling. The patented three dimensional compressor wheel has greatly increased vane area allowing it to capture more air and generate more boost with less heat. The NLX also has an adjustable MAP grove for easy turbo tuning. Check out the video we shot at Bullseye to get more info on these amazing turbos.

A Holley Terminator X engine management system runs the whole show with flawless precision. Your engine will be delivered to you with the tune from your dyno session already installed. The optional Terminator X-Max will also act as a trans controller. Either can be paired with an optional Holley Digital Dash to solve all your instrument issues. FuelTech engine management systems are available as well.
