Do you love the look of an old-school gasser? What about keeping the old school looks but adding EFI and a hydraulic roller cam? How about this beauty? It will catch attention wherever it goes and it do over 1,000 hp on pump gas. Want more power? Try Renegade E112 jack up the boost like we did in this video for 1,165 hp.
This engine can be customized in variety of ways. For starters, your choice of a Dart Sportsman iron or a Brodix aluminum block. The engine in the video is for racing and is equipped with a Callies Magnum crank and Ultra rods and uses the Brodix aluminum block. It was designed for lightweight (570 lbs.) and to take a beating. Weight not so important? The Dart block might be a better choice for both cost and lead-time. The Brodix block is a long-lead time item whereas we typically have Dart Sportsman blocks on the shelf. Callies Compstar crank and rods are going to be up to all but the most demanding applications, are more budget friendly and we typically have them on the shelf.
Regardless of which options are chosen for block, crank and rods, the rest of the parts list is the same. We use custom Diamond pistons and CNC port the Dart Pro1 heads on our 5-axis. A COMP hydraulic roller cam and Jesel Pro rockers control the valvetrain.
The video shows a polished 8-71 blower from The Blower Shop with an Alkydigger birdcatcher. Other options are available. This fuel injected setup is controlled by your choice of a Holley Dominator as in the video, or a FuelTech engine management system which is comparable in cost and offers a different set of benefits and features.

1 These engines are not pollution compliant and are intended for transportation use only in pre-pollution controlled vehicles.
2 All BRE engines are individually dyno tested and tuned. Customers will be supplied with video of their engine's dyno along with the dyno and build sheets.
3 Dyno results on the same engine are influenced by atmospheric conditions. The same engine can easily test +/- 2% different on horsepower depending upon ambient conditions. The engine you receive will have completed its dyno session at no less than 98% of rated horsepower with the tune we provide.
