Are you looking to make serious horsepower with a light-weight aluminum block that will survive? 

The Dart LS Next tall deck (9.750") aluminum block with 4.125" bore is an ideal foundation.  The SPECIAL UPGRADE version is called the LS Next2. The LS Next skirtless block features Ford Cleveland-style mains with 1/2" main studs, 1/2" head studs, a raised cam location and 0.904" lifter bores. 

The rotating assembly features a Callies Ultra billet crank with 4.250" stroke and Callies Ultra H-beam rods.  These are topped with custom Diamond pistons designed for 12-degree heads.  This combination with the tall deck yields a displacement 454 cubic inches with pistons fully supported throughout the stroke.  The reluctor wheel is replaced with a Holley billet-steel crank trigger to work seamlessly with available Holley engine management systems.

While great parts are necessary for a great build, let's not forget machining.  Your block will be 100% CNC machined for perfect dimensions and finish.  Our CNC hone is able to produce an exact match to the surface finish called for by Diamond for this ring package with a precision impossible to match with any manual hone.  That translates to more power and a longer life.
